Guardian: The Swiss-built solar plane, Solar Impulse 2, departs from Abu Dhabi in an attempt at the first around-the-world, solar-powered flight. The single-seater aircraft will be piloted alternately by Bertrand Piccard and André Borschberg. Last year, Piccard said, 'It's not the easiest way to fly around the world, but probably the most spectacular to attract awareness'
