Sonos asks ITC for ban on Google devices, says company infringed speaker patents

(Telecompaper) Sonos has filed a patent infringement suit against Google, saying the company used patented technology related to Sonos speakers without a proper licence agreement. The smart speaker maker filed a complaint to the US International Trade Commission and a lawsuit in a district court in California against Google and its parent Alphabet and is looking for a ban on the sale of Google speakers, smartphones and laptops in the US, as well as financial compensation.
