Sony PlayStation VR to launch in October for USD 399

(Telecompaper) Sony has announced a launch date and pricing for the PlayStation VR, its consumer virtual reality headset. It's planned to launch in October this year in Japan, North America, Europe and Asia, at a recommended retail price of JPY 44,980, USD 399 USD, EUR 399 and GBP 349. Sony has been working on the product since at least 2014, as well as a range of games to play on the Playstation console with the headset. Sony said it already has more than 160 titles expected, from its own studio as well as other publishers such as Ubisoft and 2K Games.
