(Telecompaper) Sony unveiled a new flagship smartphone, the Xperia Z2, and an update of its Xperia tablet at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona. The Xperia Z2 offers Sony's latest camera and video recorder features, including 4K resolution, digital noise cancelling technology and SteadyShot image stabilisation. It also comes with six blockbuster movies from Sony Pictures, including Captain Phillips, through the Video Unlimited service as well as a 30-day free trial of the Music Unlimited service and a range of PlayStation Mobile games. The Xperia Z2 tablet updates Sony's first tablet with a slimmer design, a new Triluminos display and additional accessories such as a Bluetooth speaker dock with magnetic charging pad and Bluetooth remote control. The Xperia Z2 smartphone and tablet will both launch worldwide from March. Sony also announced a new mid-range smartphone, the Xperia M2. The Android phone comes with an 8MP camera with Exmor RS, LTE and a package of three movies, 30 days free of Music Unlimited service and a range of PlayStation games. It will launch worldwide from April. To support the new Xperia products, Sony is launching the #XperiaDetails global marketing campaign.
