South Carolina Receives CDC Grant to Combat Obesity, Diabetes

South Carolina's Department of Health and Environmental Control received a $3.52 million grant from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention to combat diseases and risk factors linked to obesity. The funding, awarded last week, will help in heart disease prevention and assist in healthy eating and active living, according to officials.
