Southbridge council to finance airport sewer tie-in

Town councilors voted 6-3 Monday to borrow up to $1.75 million to connect sewer infrastructure from the municipal airport to the sewer line on Commercial Drive. Casella Waste Systems had offered to pay for it and more as part of a controversial proposed amendment to the landfill contract.
