Southwest Airlines settles 737 mtainenance lawsuit for $2.5 million

Southwest Airlines Co. and the United States settled a lawsuit involving allegations that Southwest violated Federal Aviation Administration safety regulations in its maintenance of its Boeing 737s, as well as other pending administrative matters, announced the Department of Justice in a news release.
