(Telecompaper) SpaceX's Falcon 9 rocket delivered 11 satellites to low-Earth orbit for Orbcomm, a provider of machine-to-machine communication and Internet of Things products, on 21 December. The Orbcomm mission launched from Space Launch Complex 40 at Cape Canaveral Air Force Station, Florida. The 11 small commercial communication satellites were deployed approximately 20 minutes after liftoff, completing a 17-satellite, low Earth orbit constellation for Orbcomm. SpaceX also reached its secondary test objective, namely soft landing the first stage of its rocket back on the ground at the Cape Canaveral Air Force Station.
