Main responsibilities The Spacecraft Analyst will work in an integrated, multimission support team during nominal and contingency operations. This may include among others the following tasks Setup of SC and operational data bases, including verification of database contents against satellite documentation Implement tools needed to manipulate the SC DB, interrogate and provide statistical data for the FCT and to perform consistency checking of DB products Updating the databases and performing maintenance of the databases applying procedures in a configuration controlled environment Conversion of industry provided databases into formats needed by the mission control system and operational tools Drafting and delivering within a configuration controlled environment SC data base systems documentation Support data archiving and mission run down activities Participating in the LEOP preparation and operations with regard to any SC DB related activity, In case of ground or space segment anomaly providing first level contingency recovery support Even if not immediately foreseen, Spacecraft Controller related activities might also be required in the future. These include actively and independently performing SC console operations e.g. to replace a controller on console in a contingency responsibility for arrangingcoordinating training and operational readiness activities of the controllers assigned to the mission. Ideal candidate The candidate should demonstrate knowledge and experience on as many as the following requirements as possible Essential experience handling SCOS2000 based SC DB MIB, PUS in an operational environment working experience with use, administration and programming of DBMS Oracle, MSAccess, MySQL, MariaDB programming skills in Visual Basic or other scripting languages to increase DB systems and operations automation Python, shell scripts... some experience with VMWare installations and administration good knowledge of ESOC Ground Segment Operations and ESOC Ground Segment Components. Desirable SC operations experience i.e. SpaCon certification familiarity with ESOC OPSOP and the missions operated by this division The working language for this position is English.
