Spacecraft Assembly Integration and Test Solar Orbiter, mechanical subsystems mf The Challenge We seek a mechanical AIT engineer to support the Spacecraft preparation environment and cleanroom working practice at our clients premises in England. The primary tasks and activities will include Mechanical integration, alignment and testing of electronic units, precision optical units, subsystems and instruments, mechanisms, antennas, solar arrays, mechanical subsystems, instruments, payloads and spacecraft and control the related documentation Preparation of documentation related to test activities including test specifications, test plans, test procedures and test reports Design of test equipment, overseeing its manufacture, and commissioning Preparation and execution of environmental tests Vibration, Acoustic, Mass properties, Shock, Thermal at unit, subsystem, instrument and spacecraft level This is a fulltime position with a planned starting date August 2014. Your Qualifications Applicants shall have a Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar, Masters Degree preferred.
