Spandex prices are plunging across the board in China, over a rise of inventories and a weaker demand from knitting and weaving sectors. With raw material costs less sharply declining, elastane producers are getting significantly lower margins than a year ago. Our monthly report covers spandex and PTMEG prices on the domestic Chinese market, with gross margin trends at spandex plants on a daily and monthly basis.
