Forty-two years after a special Harley-Davidson was swiped from the backyard of a police officer in North Carolina, U.S. customs officials said Friday that they had recovered the motorcycle at the Los Angeles/Long Beach Seaport before it could be shipped to Australia. Once green, the 1954 FL Hydra-Glide - which featured a trumpet-style horn and a front-fender medallion marking Harley-Davidson's 50th anniversary - is now yellow and in great shape.
