Spectrum Brands acquired Salix Animal Health, which will join the global pet supplies business of Spectrum, which includes the high-end dog foods IAMS and Eukanuba. Spectrum Brands Holdings Inc. , the Middleton-based manufacturer of Rayovac batteries, Remington shavers, Toastmaster small appliances and Stanley Black and Decker hardware, said Tuesday that it has purchased Salix Animal Health LLC, the California producer of Healthy-Hide and Digest-eeze rawhide dog treats.
