Sprint, T-Mobile battle hits closer to Sprint's home

A nationwide bout between the third- and fourth-largest U.S. wireless carriers is heating up in Sprint's Kansas City-area backyard and it has a North Texas connection. T-Mobile US Inc. recently announced that its prepaid brand, Richardson-based MetroPCS , is expanding in the City of Fountains and nine other markets.
