Sprint launches new travel plan similar to T-Mobile's

About a month after rival wireless company T-Mobile announced that customers looking to call and text people in Canada and Mexico can now do so for no additional charge as part of its Simple Choice plan, Sprint announces a similar deal. The Overland Park carrier announced Tuesday that the new "Open World" add-on offers customers free calls and text messages to Mexico and Canada, but takes it a step further than T-Mobile.
