St. Pete-Clearwater bound Allegiant Air flight makes emergency landing

The smell of smoke in the cabin forced an Allegiant Air flight bound for St. Pete-Clearwater International Airport to return to Raleigh Durham International Airport Thursday, according to a television report. Officials said Flight 815 had just taken off when the pilots declared an emergency and returned to the airport, according to Eyewitness 11, an ABC affiliate in Raleigh.
