Stanley's Profits, Sales Lower On Strong Dollar

Stanley Black & Decker reported lower profits and sales Thursday, as the strong dollar and weakness in the Chinese economy outweighed strong growth in sales in tools in the U.S., Latin America and parts of Asia outside China. Sales in the three months ending September 30 totaled $2.83 billion, down almost $500 million from the same period in 2014.
