New study prepared for the U.S. Conference of Mayors finds widespread commitment to adopting technologies such as LED lighting to improve energy use in municipal buildings and roads.
A new study out this month from the Mayors Climate Protection Center, prepared for the U.S. Conference of Mayors (USCM) that met in Washington, D.C., last week, found that 54% of cities that responded to the survey are targeting outdoor lighting for improved energy efficiency or reduced energy consumption. The study, prepared in cooperation with Philips, covered 288 cities throughout the United States.
