Subcontracts Manager

Our client is looking for a Subcontracts Manager to support or lead the management of subcontracts from the bid phase through to delivery. Key Tasks Responsibility for all aspects of subcontract management within designated area. To act as the first point of contact for all subcontract management issues. Liaison with internal and external stakeholders to ensure that the subcontract element of all bid and project activities is subject to commercialcontractual rigour. Negotiation with internal external stakeholders. Identification and implementation of cost saving measures. Responsibility for contractual documentation in accordance with established procedures and processes. Continual assessment of subcontractor performance. Risk analysis. Development of strategic business relationships with key suppliers. Action tracking progression, along with provision of concise, effective reporting within a matrix structure. Maintain and enhance the profile of the Commercial Team within our customers team. Help to improve existing policies and procedures. Qualifications Degree level or equivalent in a CommercialBusiness or potentially Engineering discipline MCIPS qualification or studying towards MCIPS would be beneficial but not essential Experience Subcontract or Contract Management, ideally within in a satellite or engineeringaerospace industry. Commercialcontractual risk management Negotiation and implementation of standard and nonstandard contracting vehicles, ideally with full lifecycle experience. Experience of troubleshootingfacilitating solutions with internal and external stakeholders. Make v Buy decision making. Supplier evaluationdownselect and fix or replace planning. Experience of process development within a multidisciplinary engineering environment. Working knowledge of procurement and project management processes. Knowledge and Skills Highly organised with excellent communication skills. Creative thinker with ability to think outside the box. Ability to negotiate and influence at all levels. Ability to provide and accept constructive feedback. Highly developed understanding of contractualprogrammatic risk coupled with a pragmatic approach to its mitigation. Highly driven and results orientated, with ability to deliver under pressure. Flexibility to travel in the UK or internationally as required. Proficient in all MS Office packages.
