Sugarbeet industry executive outlines challenges for 2015

FARGO, N.D. Trade issues, politics, labeling and bio-tech concerns are just a few of the topics touched upon during remarks by Luther Markwart, American Sugarbeet Growers Association executive vice president, at the 53rd annual International Sugarbeet Institute. But he started his presentation talking about a subject that has had a big impact recently on the declining price of sugar-imports of Mexican sugar.
