Consisting of prepolarized microphone and preamplifier combination with water- and dust-resistant cover, Model 130B40 is suited for taking measurements in spaces where traditional microphones will not fit, or outdoor environments and wind tunnels where wind noise can affect measurements. Unit provides measurements up to 142 dB with low noise floor of 32 dBA. Typical applications include airplane panel testing, acoustic fatigue analysis, and window surface testing.
