Swedbank Plans to Join Nordea in Selling Riskiest Bank Bonds

Europe's best capitalized bank will issue the riskiest form of bank debt after Nordea Bank AB became Sweden's first lender to market such debt. Swedbank AB, Sweden's largest mortgage lender, plans to sell so-called additional Tier 1 bonds within the next 12 months to improve its capital structure, Gregori Karamouzis, head of investor relations at the Stockholm-based lender, said in an interview.
