Supplied in industry-standard TO-220 SIP packaging, M78A/M78SA Switching Regulators are suitable for applications where maximum load current is 0.5 A and full load operation at elevated supply voltages is needed. Units feature input voltage from 4.75–32 Vdc and output voltages from 1.5–15 Vdc. Minimum 280 kHz switching frequency produces efficiencies as high as 97%, resulting in full-load operation at ambient temperatures as high as 80°C, with no heatsink required.
