Syngenta sales miss forecasts as U.S. winter bites

2015-04-17 12:30:35| Chemicals - Topix.net

Syngenta AG on Friday reported first-quarter sales that failed to meet expectations as the strength of the dollar and a severe winter in the U.S. curbed demand for its crop-protection products. Basel-based Syngenta, which makes agricultural products designed to improve crop productivity, said sales fell 14% to $4.02 billion from $4.68 billion in the same period a year earlier.
