Job Description We are looking for a System Administrator to join our Engineering Division in Darmstadt, Germany. This position has a strong focus on server and application operations, but also includes networking and client aspects. We are looking for somebody parttime or fulltime with previous professional experience in the field. Solenix is an independent and international company providing engineering and consulting services in the space market. Among our customers are space agencies like ESA and EUMETSAT. We are specialised in distributed systems and client applications, using modern technologies with a focus on high performing, robust and light solutions. Our Engineering Division is a group of motivated, dynamic and creative people who enjoy highquality work, as well as a relaxed and flexible work atmosphere. You will be involved in the operation of Solenixs IT infrastructure as well as in support to our projects operating applications at customer sites. You will work closely with other members of the Engineering Division in Germany, Italy and Switzerland. Required Skills and Experience Bachelor or Master in Computer Sciences or Information Technology, or equivalent in professional experience Proactive attitude with initiative and interest in challenging solutions Excellent communication skills in an international environment Fluency in English, both spoken and written Knowledge and practical experience in the following technologies is required Linux server administration including security hardening, preferably on Debian Virtual machine administration, preferably with Proxmox Basic networking TCPIP, DHCP, DNS Web administration reverse proxies, certificates Docker and Kubernetes Asset management Version control, preferably Git Desirable Skills and Experience Microsoft 365 administration Synology NAS administration LDAP and OpenID Connect Infrastructure as Code Advanced networking VPN, VLANs, Cisco switches, firewalls Database management ISO 27001 practices Work Location Darmstadt, Germany, with partial remote work possible Application Deadline 31 October 2021 Start Date As soon as possible Important Notes Before applying to this position, please read the page How to Apply.
