Solenix is specialized in the provision of highquality software engineering, technical consulting and operations services in aerospace. This vacancy note concerns a consulting position at ESAC in Madrid, Spain. System Administrator CHESAC13004 Job Description The Consultant shall support the system administration for those computer systems used for science operations and research activities. These computers servesworkstations are based on Linux and Sun Solaris, Macintoshes, PC for Office Automation activities. The environment also includes Disk Storage infrastructure, Virtual infrastructure as well as GRID and Cloud computing infrastructures. Systems can be physical machines or provided through virtual infrastructure. These systems are connected to networks organized by functions operational, office and development, external services, GRID, Cloud and administration networks. Specific service tasks would include installation, configuration, deployment, integration, monitoring, administration and maintenance of these computer systems, data backup and retrieval, interface with IT vendors for quotation, installation and maintenance agreements, users IT support, defining and operating computers operational procedures, hardware inventory tracking. Required Skills and Experience University degree or equivalent in Computer Science or related fields Specific knowledge is required in the following areas GRID technology Grid Engine, EGI UMD Eucalyptus Cloud middleware Storage SANNAS technologies Linux RedHat, PC Windows XP and Macintosh system management Virtualization technologies Scientific user computer support Network design and requirements Fluency in English.
