A vacancy for a System Engineer Mass Memory Units mf has arisen within Airbus Defence Space in Friedrichshafen. The successful applicant will join Avionic Data Handling Engineering. You will be the technical lead for the design, development and qualification of Mass Memory Equipment for spacecraft payloads. Your main tasks and responsibilities will include Requirements analysis and architecture definition at electronic function and electronics board level Defining the design, development and verification approach Technical leadership of engineers allocated to a project in close cooperation with the project manager Coordinating and reviewing all technical activities related to the development of a unit or module, including interfaces with other engineering disciplines mechanical, thermal Coordinating technical communication towards the customer and major subcontractors Leading detailed electronics design, components selection, schematics capture, and analogue andor digital simulation at function level Reviewing analysis and documenting design e.g., parts stress analysis, worst case analysis, failure modes and criticality analysis, radiation analysis Assessing EMC performance of the equipment Supporting test procedures and reporting for qualification and acceptance testing at module and unit level Specification andor detailed design of the necessary test benches Preparing technical proposals meeting customer specifications Defining the engineering resources needed and planning for design and development We are looking for candidates with the following skills and experience Educated to degree level in engineeringelectrotechnics, hyperfrequency Experience in engineering Experience in team management Excellent knowledge on design methodologies for space applications Sound knowledge in electronics design analysis as per ECSS requirements Experience in Mass Memory architectures for spacecraft, knowledge of SDRAMFlash components including error management, and experience in high speed serial links would be a plus Candidates must be rigorous, systematic and able to work with other engineers in project teams and under pressure e.g., tight schedules, fixed date deliveries Excellent communication skills Negotiation level of English and German Please apply for this vacancy at our careers site www.jobs.airbusgroup.com with your CV attached.
