OIP Sensor Systems is based in Oudenaarde, Belgium, and is providing high performance optoelectronic solutions for Space and Defence. We want to stay at the forefront of technology and are constantly searching new frontiers to explore. We are now looking for a System Engineer with strong optical backgound. Your responsibilities You create optical concepts for quotes and projects. You develop elaborated designs for optical instruments, you perform tolerance and stray light analyses. You write design reports and present them to the customer. You will participate in the system engineering of space projects for which you coordinate the design and test activities over the different professional disciplines. Next to that, you will monitor the project interfaces with other project partners and define functional as well as environmental tests based on the project specifications. You will be responsible for the preparation of technical presentations as well as for the reporting and defending of the technical aspects of the projects to the customer . Your profile Master in Physics or equivalent experience with strong interest in optical instruments Minimum 3 to 5 years experience with optical design programs andor mechanical structures, preferably in a project environment You are a resultoriented teamplayer A strong affinity with space projects is an absolute must You are stress resistant and you have no problems with deadlines You fluently communicate in English Our offer We offer a high tech international environment with challenging projects and interesting salary conditions.
