The Mission Galileo is Europes global navigation satellite system, providing a highly accurate, guaranteed global positioning service under civilian control. The Challenge We seek an Operations Security and Accreditation Engineer to provide consultancy services. The position is based at the Galileo Control Centre in Oberpfaffenhofen, with occasional travel to other European destinations. Typical tasks include Identification of potential violations to security operating procedure requirements Planning and execution of security simulations Participation in the test campaign and commissioning of the Galileo Public Regulated Service Representing our customers interests in regular meetings with agents of the European Space Agency supporting deployment and operation of the Galileo control system and mission system elements Contributing to anomaly review boards, change control boards and nonconformance boards. We wish for this fulltime position to commence as soon as possible. Your Qualifications Essential skills are Personal security clearance to the level confidential or higher Solid knowledge of both space and ground systems At least 2 better 4 years experience in space operations Thorough and practical understanding of systems engineering processes Experience generating and working with technical documentation in English Solid English language skills. Desirable skills are Experience in information technology system security and accreditation Experience with Galileo operations Working knowledge of German University degree in a relevant technical discipline.
