This position, based near Frankfurt in Germany, is for a graduate consultant engineer with at least 5 years experience in the field of System Engineering for the development of remote sensing and Earth observation satellite systems. Our client is responsible for establishing and operating weather forecasting and Earth observation satellite programmes with associated data telemetry and dissemination operations. This position requires expert knowledge in several system engineering areas and disciplines covering requirements, architectural design and detailed definition of subsystems. The engineer will work in a multidisciplinary team reporting to the System Manager. The key experience and skills sought are Extensive System Engineering life cycle experience for the development of remote sensing and Earth observation systems At least 5 years experience in the field of systems engineering and architectural design ISO, software development, and space and ground system engineering processes and standards Experience in Model Based System engineering methods, techniques and tools Experience in the use of modelling and design tools in support of architectural design activities eg. CORE Experience managing requirements using dedicated tools such as DOORS is desirable. The working language is English. This is a permanent employee assignment starting in January 2015.
