(Telecompaper) TIM Brasil has activated 4G technology on the 700 MHz frequency band in Rio Verde (state of Goias), a municipality with around 207,000 inhabitants where the pilot project for the migration of analogue to digital TV in Brazil was completed. With the implementation of LTE on the 700 MHz band, the operator can employ LTE Advanced technology with three-carrier aggregation, combining spectrum in the 2.5 GHz, 1,800 MHz and 700 MHz bands to boost speeds and capacity. TThe operator will also use LTE-Advanced technology, combining the 700 MHz and 2.6 GHz frequency bands, enabling it to provide a faster mobile internet service, marketed as 4GMax.
