Taco van der Maten, product manager for XRF at PANalytical in Almelo, Netherlands, has been elected to 3-year term on ASTM International board of directors. ASTM International member since 2006, van der Maten is chairman of ASTM Committee F40 on Declarable Substances in Materials and also leads task group responsible for updating and maintaining ASTM F2617. Other roles he occupies include Committee D20 member and participant in creation of ASTM PTP on elemental analysis of thermoplastics.
