With Taiwan LCD panel maker Innolux experiencing damage on production equipment producing 39.5-inch TV applications, some customers are shifting their orders to 40- and 43-inch panels, which has prompted panel suppliers industry-wide to consider raising quotes, according to industry sources. The sources noted that the 40-inch segment has the most volatile pricing at this time, since production is dominated by one player, Samsung Display.
