Talks ongoing on Awesome Products rail access

During its meeting Monday night the Surry County Board of Commissioners gave the nod to a request by County Manager Chris Knopf to allow him to negotiate with the state Department of Transportation and Yadkin Valley Railroad to place a railroad spur to the Awesome Products factory at the former Bassett Furniture plant in Mount Airy.
