The grocery market business in the Triangle is a $4.9 billion industry, and competition for every single one of those dollars is getting more competitive as new grocery chains like Publix and expanded brands like Wal-Mart Express seek out new locations. There's also been consolidation after grocery giant The Kroger Co.
