Specifically adapted for measuring powders and solids material that may adhere to sensor probe, Spike Bob is suited for use with silica or frack sand, powdered chemicals or minerals, additives and ingredients. Acting as automated tape measure, sensor takes measurements at predetermined time intervals or on demand. Unit is automatically dropped to material surface where it immediately retracts and, by counting pulses, calculates accurate measurement from top of silo to material surface.
