(Telecompaper) Telecom Italia has rebranded its Cubovision IPTV service, changing its name to TIMVision, enriching the content and lowering subscription costs. The new service is already available on smartphones and tablets and will shortly be launched on smart TVs and PCs. The content, which already offers over 5,000 titles, has been enriched with the addition of feature films, sporting events and serials, including the new series of Mad Men from 13 May. TIMVision will also become part of TIM's new 4G portfolio, said the operator. In addition, thanks to Telecom Italia's distribution agreement with Sky Italia, TIMVision will include a full range of Sky-branded sporting content, including the forthcoming Fifa World Cup. Telecom Italia confirmed that the rebranding exercise applied to TIMVision will shortly be extended to all its other digital platforms devoted to music, books and games.
