(Telecompaper) Telecom Italia has officially unveiled a new "modern and simple" TIM logo and announced a new Rome headquarters in a presentation attended by World Wide Web inventor Sir Tim Berners-Lee. The adoption of the TIM mobile brand across the operator's entire fixed, mobile and internet offer was first announced last year, with Telecom Italia CEO Marco Patuano emphasising at the official launch that the company had decided to create a unified brand that "combines the solidity and size of Telecom Italia with the innovative characteristics of TIM." In addition, Telecom Italia officially announced that it will be investing some EUR 400 million over the next two to three years to build a new headquarters in Rome's EUR (Esposizione Universale Roma) business district.
