(Telecompaper) Telefonica and Liberty Global are discussing a merger of their activities in the UK, bringing together mobile operator O2 UK and the cable operator Virgin Media, people familiar with the matter told Bloomberg. If they reach an agreement, a transaction could be announced in the coming week, the people said.
