Telekom Slovenije launches LTE services

(Telecompaper) Telekom Slovenije's mobile division Mobitel announced the availability of LTE services in 27 localities. Customers can choose LTE data devices such as USB modems or MiFi routers with an 'Internet LTE/4G' or 'Internet LTE/4G poslovni (business)' data package. The package costs EUR 39 per month and includes 40 GB of data and a LTE MiFi modem ZTE MF91D at EUR 1 when signing an agreement for 24 months. During a promotion until 31 August, customers get a 50 percent discount on the subscription fee for six months. As part of a promotional period until 31 December, Mobitel customers who have data subscriptions can upgrade to LTE at no extra charge if they buy a LTE mobile device at a promotional price. After the end of the promotional period, the service fee is EUR 6 per month. Customers can rent a LTE device at no cost for testing in the shops of Telekom Slovenije. The Slovenian operator aims to cover around 40 percent of the Slovenian population with 4G by year's end. Other LTE devices available include the HTC One SV and Sony Xperia Z.
