(Telecompaper) TeliaSonera has announced a strategic partnership with Ericsson to launch 5G services in the Swedish and Estonian capitals of Stockholm and Tallinn in 2018. As part of the agreement, the two companies will develop 5G use-cases and service scenarios, including both communication and Internet of Things (IoT) services, with a view to addressing new business opportunities. TeliaSonera CEO Johan Dennelind said the company was determined to be at the forefront of 5G deployment. "Stockholm and Tallinn are two of the most connected cities in the world and now we will take them to the next level. 5G will create completely new innovations, ecosystems and great services to our customers," he said.
