Lubbock Avalanche-Journal: Just a few years ago, the oil and gas industry was booming and seemed to offer an unlimited amount of jobs, but fast forward to 2015 when oil prices hit their lowest levels in more than a decade and countless businesses are cutting costs and laying off workers.
Tens of thousands of oil field workers have already been laid off throughout Texas with more coming in 2016 if oil prices remain low, according to local experts in the oil and gas industry.
Those who are still employed are disheartened...
