The City of New York will pay $17 million to three half-brothers who spent a combined 60 years in prison on murder convictions that have since been vacated, New York City Comptroller Scott M. Stringer announced Monday . The wrongful conviction payments will go to Alvena Jennette, Robert Hill and the estate of Darryl Austin, all of whom were convicted for murders in the 1980s.
