Tigerair posts first quarterly profit in over a year

Tigerair made a profit after tax of S$2.2 million for the quarter ended Dec 31, 2014, turning around from a loss after tax of S$118.5 million in the same period a year ago. SINGAPORE: Local budget carrier Tiger Airways Holdings posted its first quarterly profit in over a year on Monday , helped by a cutback in capacity that helped it fill a larger proportion of its seats.
