Trimble® TX8, with its ability to measure at speeds to 1 million points per second, range of 120 m (upgradeable to 340 m), and ability to complete typical 360° scans in 3 min or less, enables creation of high-density 3D point clouds. Lightning™ technology measures time, at nanosecond level, for pulse of light to be transmitted to and reflected from object back to scanner. Time-of-flight provides distance to object with millimeter level accuracy at 1 million measurements per second.
