Volkswagen AG plans to reduce the number of component variants its vehicles use as it seeks to cut costs following its emissions-cheating scandal, Automobilwoche magazine reports on Sunday. The number of component variants would be reduced by at least a quarter, the magazine reports, citing a letter to the company's management.
