Tom Oreck plans to buy company stores from Oreck's new owner

Former Oreck Corp. CEO Tom Oreck is "close to an agreement" to buy a number of the 100 company-owned Oreck retail stores from their new owner, Hoover parent TTI Floor Care, and also to serve as a spokesman for the Oreck brand and as a consultant for the company, the company said Thursday.
