Update: The Sarasota County Planning Commission unanimously approved plans for the Whole Foods Market and Wawa on University parkway Dec. 17. The Whole Foods Market and Wawa slated for the corner of University Parkway and Honore Avenue may get bogged down in permitting issues. The Sarasota County Planning Commission this week will consider a request from Tampa-based Brightwork Real Estate to remove more than four acres of protected wetlands on the eight-acre parcel to make way for University Station.
