Employing 2 cameras (wide angle and telescopic) and one mirror mechanism, Rapid Eye can cover areas up to 70° x 105 m and provides images with resolutions of 160 pixel/m. Wide angle camera first takes panoramic image, built-in DSP analyzes image and locates targets, and mirror rotates telescopic camera to acquire detailed view of target. Offering full HD resolution, system is suited for use in such areas as airports, hotels, railway stations, schools, shopping centers, and town squares.
