The Position We are passionate about human spaceflight operations onboard the International Space Station ISS and space exploration beyond low earth orbit. Our motivated Engineers perform crew training and support, as well as onorbit operations and ground segment activities at the ESA European Astronaut Centre EAC, along with ISS and exploration mission payload operations at the adjacent DLR MUSC operations centre. We are looking to strengthen our team with a Training Administrator. This position is within the Training Administration service which includes the complete end to end administration of the EAC training activities of astronauts and Ground Support Personnel GSP. This position is minimum 75 of fulltime and is based at ESAEAC, Cologne. The expected starting date will be 01 January 2022 or as soon as possible after. We are looking forward to meeting you! ResponsibilitiesDuties The Training Administrator will work within the Training Administration Service as the service lead, supported by a Training Administration Assistant ensuring provision of a continuous Training Administration service. The responsibilities of this service include the following PreparePublishMaintain training schedules and integrated overview of ESA organized training sessions for crew and GSP as well as booking training facilities. Request nominations for training events and ensure scheduling and web information transfer to trainees. Maintain email distribution lists of multilateral working groups and training responsibles. CollectArchive crew and GSP training records including assessment results, and any other associated documentation. Recordskeeping of lessoninstructor certification in the ESA training database so called ATD, along with hard copy filing. TrackMonitor training requirements and progress Support EAC training management in adherence to and evolution of processes and data exchanges. Provide feedback and requirements for ATD development. Prepare standard and adhoc reports upon request. Generate clips from the EAC video recording system upon request. Maintain a list of education and outreach activities. QualificationsExperience Bachelors degree or equivalent in Business Administration, Engineering or Science. One to four years experience in documentation management or previous training administration role. At least one year working experience in an international organization, preferably in Europe Essential Skills Good English language skills. Excellent organizational skills, with focus on schedule and deadlines. Good teamwork, communication and interpersonal skills. Readiness to take on responsibility, work under pressure. Desirable Skills Knowledge of ISS domain. Knowledge of crewteam training domain.
